Akın Aksu is a distinguished figure in the realm of Turkish cinema and literature, having completed his Fine Arts education in Çanakkale. During his academic journey, he began contributing to local newspapers and literary magazines, showcasing his passion for storytelling. His book, "Bir Üniversitelinin Not Defteri," features the notable work "Ahlat Agacı," which he co-wrote with Ebru Ceylan and acclaimed director Nuri Bilge Ceylan.

"Ahlat Agacı," directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, made its debut at the prestigious 71st Cannes Film Festival and was released in Turkey on June 1, 2018. In addition to his writing contributions, Aksu showcased his acting talent by portraying the character Imam Veysel in the film, further solidifying his multifaceted role in the project.

Following a brief tenure as a teacher in Erzincan, Aksu relocated to Istanbul, where he continues to thrive in his creative pursuits. He also penned the screenplay for Ceylan's film "Kuru Otlar Ustune," further establishing his reputation as a prominent screenwriter in contemporary Turkish cinema.
