Noel Johansen
Biography
Noel Johansen is a talented film and stage actor possessing American, Canadian, and British citizenship. Renowned in the industry as the "accent guy," he gained significant acclaim for his portrayal of Ilyia Sokolov, a Russian cellist, in "Bletchley San Francisco," which earned him a recent nomination. Hailing from an acting family, Noel cultivated his passion for performance at the University of Pennsylvania before honing his craft at Drama Studio London. He spent two years in Paris, becoming fluent in French, along with conversational skills in German and Italian.
Johansen is also well-known for his compelling role as Danny Jackson, a character with 16p11.2 deletion syndrome, opposite Devon Sawa in ABC's "Somewhere Between." His diverse portfolio includes memorable performances as the sinister Mr. Black in Nickelodeon's "Rufus," Russell, a troubled AA leader in DirecTV's "Loudermilk," and Sam Crowley, a Russian spy in CBS's "Chaos." In addition to his television work, he has appeared in several Hallmark movies and portrayed a police officer in "The Age of Adaline," directed by Lee Toland Krieger.
On stage, he showcased his talent as the young Einstein in Steve Martin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" during the Broadway Touring production at Wilmington Playhouse. Beyond acting, Noel holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, having qualified for the Olympic Team after university, and continues to train. He is also a passionate sailor and swimmer.
