Biography
Luis Barboo (March 20, 1927 – September 30, 2001) was a prominent Spanish actor renowned for his diverse roles across various film genres.
He gained recognition for his portrayal of Baxter Gunman in the iconic Spaghetti Western "Per un pugno di dollari" (1964), which marked a significant moment in his career. Barboo continued to collaborate with the distinctive filmmaker Jesús Franco, playing notable characters such as Truto in "The Demons" (1973) and Caronte in "La Maldición de Frankenstein" (1973).
In the realm of fantasy and adventure, Barboo took on the role of Red Hair in the epic "Conan the Barbarian" (1982), a film directed by John Milius and penned by Oliver Stone, which further solidified his status in the film industry.
Barboo's contributions extended to various Spanish productions, including "Supersonic Man" (1979) directed by Juan Piquer Simón, and "O camiño das estrelas: Galicia" (1993), a project helmed by Chano Piñeiro featuring actors Sabela Páez and Gustavo Salmerón.
Throughout his career, Luis Barboo left an indelible mark on Spanish cinema, showcasing his versatility and talent in an array of memorable roles until his passing in 2001.
