J.E. Freeman, born on February 2, 1946, is a distinguished American actor recognized for his compelling portrayals of tough characters and authority figures. He made his film debut in the early 1980s with the action flick *An Eye for an Eye*, where he had a memorable exchange with Chuck Norris while playing a tow truck driver.
Freeman is particularly celebrated for his ability to embody menacing roles. Among his most notable performances is that of the sinister gangster Marcelles Santos in David Lynch's acclaimed film *Wild at Heart*.
