Bibi Besch, born Bibiana Maria Köchert on February 1, 1940, was an accomplished Austrian-American actress renowned for her work across film, television, and theater. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Dr. Carol Marcus in the iconic science fiction film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, released in 1982. Besch's talent extended to a variety of notable films throughout her career, including appearances in the comedy Who's That Girl (1987), the touching drama Steel Magnolias (1989), and the cult classic Tremors (1990).
