Douglas John Booth is a talented English actor born in London, England. He hails from an artistic family; his mother, Vivien De Cala, is an accomplished artist, while his father, Simon Booth, has a career in shipping at Citigroup. Booth's acting career took off with notable appearances in British television shows such as "Christopher and His Kind" and "Great Expectations," both released in 2011. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Romeo in the 2013 film "Romeo & Juliet," which showcased his romantic lead capabilities.
