Brion James
Biography
Brion Howard James (February 20, 1945 – August 7, 1999) was an iconic American character actor celebrated for his memorable performances. He is best recognized for his role as Leon Kowalski in the science fiction classic Blade Runner. Over his career, James showcased his versatility in a range of popular films, including 48 Hrs., Another 48 Hours, Tango & Cash, Silverado, Red Heat, The Player, and The Fifth Element. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m), his imposing stature often led to roles as antagonists, particularly in budget-friendly horror and action films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. By the time of his passing from a heart attack at the age of 54, James had built an impressive filmography, appearing in over 100 movies.
