Biography

Bill Tung Biu, born on March 30, 1933, in Hong Kong, was a multifaceted talent known for his work as both an actor and a horse racing commentator. His journey began in the world of horse racing, where he initially worked as a jockey in his family's racing stable. His deep-rooted passion and expertise in the sport led him to transition into a successful career as a racing commentator.

Tung's charisma and popularity soon caught the attention of filmmakers, and from 1949 to 1996, he appeared in numerous films, particularly during the 1980s and 1990s when he frequently collaborated with the iconic Jackie Chan. Among his notable performances, he is best remembered for his role as Inspector Bill Wong in the beloved action film Police Story and for portraying a wizard in the comedy Ghostly Vixen. His final film appearance came in 1996, where he reprised his role as 'Uncle' Bill Wong in Police Story 4: First Strike.

After a distinguished career in horse racing commentary that lasted until 2000, Tung stepped back from public life. Sadly, he passed away on February 22, 2006, due to complications from lung failure, leaving behind a legacy in both the film industry and the world of horse racing.
