Samuel Anderson
Biography
Samuel Anderson, born in 1982, is an accomplished English actor known for his diverse roles across stage and screen. He gained prominence for his portrayal of Ross Kirk, a police officer, on the popular soap opera *Emmerdale*, where he captivated audiences until early 2009.
Anderson's theatrical career took off when he originated the character Crowther in Alan Bennett's acclaimed play *The History Boys* at the National Theatre in 2004. His performance not only earned him critical acclaim but also led to a series of international engagements, including productions on Broadway, as well as in Sydney, Wellington, and Hong Kong, along with adaptations for radio and film.
In addition to his stage accolades, Anderson has made significant contributions to television. He is well-recognized for his role as Fingers in the BAFTA-winning BBC Three comedy *Gavin & Stacey*, where his character quickly became a fan favorite.
